As an active market participant Anaro takes advantage of market conditions to return capital to our partners. We also provide our partners with opportunities to re-cycle returned capital regularly investing into new assets, and we currently manage over $300m of commercial real estate in locations throughout New Zealand.
Whilst these assets vary across sector, value, risk profile and return each transaction is structured as a standalone special purpose vehicle ‘SPV’ and we draw upon our in-house accounting function to provide taxation advice to ensure each ownership structure is both financially efficient and flexible.
All functions of the business are overseen by a head office management structure lead by CEO Natalie Evans and COO Jason Little. In addition to that, and our financial and accounting function, each asset has a dedicated property manager and, in the case of multi-let office buildings, we provide a dedicated leasing executive. We also ensure the physical fabric of group buildings are managed and maintained to ensure all regulatory requirements are met and value preserved.
Natalie Evans, Chief Executive Officer
Natalie is a Chartered Accountant by profession and enjoyed a 12yr career in private practice before joining the Anaro Group. Natalie has headed the organisation since 2012, after being with the organisation for 13 years, and brings to the role a vast array of experience in acquisitions and mergers, finance and management. She remains involved in a number of businesses throughout New Zealand.
Natalie sets the strategic direction of the group and is ultimately responsible for all aspects of the Anaro business. Her particular focus is on matching investor needs with opportunities in the market, from the perspective of both asset sales and acquisitions, wherein Natalie makes full use of her extensive networks to identify opportunities that present good value.
Jason Little, Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer Jason oversees all systems and processes across Anaro’s operations and ensures the Anaro business, and each operating company we manage, meet all of their legal, regulatory, compliance and reporting obligations.
Our portfolio of companies under management involves over 490 rooms, 35,000sqm of office, 15,000sqm of industrial, 28,000sqm of retail and 100 tenants which presents a challenging operating environment and requires well-designed and finely tuned management systems to operate efficiently. In meeting these needs Jason draws upon his deep operational management experience gained throughout his career and more latterly with publicly listed entity Silver Fern Farms.
